Vocabulary used when explaining routine checks and asking basic questions. Follow your assigned role and report symptoms or concerns to the nurse.

The Night Check
It is 2:00 a.m. Sra. Luna is 64, post-op day one. Her pain has gone from 3 to 6 since the evening assessment. You need to decide what to say, what you can safely do, and when to get a qualified medical interpreter.
Run the visit. The debrief shows each choice and the reason it helped or hurt.
This is a learning simulation. It does not assess clinical competence or authorize you to interpret for a patient.

«¿Me puede dar algo más para el dolor? No le diga a nadie, por favor.»
Can you give me something more for the pain? Don't tell anyone, please.
She is asking for medication beyond the order, and for secrecy from the team. Phrase-level Spanish got you through the check-in. It does not carry this. Choose like a clinician.
Study and Practice
When you want more practice.
Reading phrases is free, and it should be. Study is the review plan built from your drills. Practice is patients who answer back, a shift that grades your handoff, and tests that score you and hand back your misses.
Five patient encounters
The night check is free. The others cover an admission, a discharge, a child, and a family meeting. Each one has a point where the right move is to stop and call the interpreter.
The Day Shift and the Night Shift
A full board, one clock, and a handoff at the end. What you skip in the morning is still waiting at noon.
Tests
Check a topic before an exam. Pick a track or mix them all, answer under exam conditions, and get a score plus your miss list at the end.
Progress you can read
Your drill results by topic, so the weak track is obvious before clinical, not during.
Signos+ is practice. It does not certify fluency, and it does not make you ready to run a clinical conversation in Spanish without an interpreter.

Study the free material first. Try the encounter when you are ready. And when a real conversation needs an interpreter, get one. That judgment is the skill.
